"What I’ll Do Instead" by Karen Neuberg
Poetry
What I’ll Do Instead
I’ll drift.
Carry fire.
Carry rain.
Carve the sizzle so the corners fit.
And I’ll dream as I drift.
Full of punch and pretty. Wind pushing
as I song
what I didn’t know
I intended.
And this is the way I’ll go
without being gone.
