Humor us and imagine your inner critic as a character and doing a little interview with them. Try asking it the following questions:
What does this person/thing/monster dream about?
Where does it live?
Fears?
Favorite color?
Favorite song?
Does it believe in ghosts?
Does it believe that singularity is inevitable?
Who does it look up to?
Favorite holiday?
Does it believe world peace is possible?
Does it have a day job?
What does it do on weekends?
Why does it pick on you?
Now, imagine this was a job interview. Would you hire this inner critic?
