"(At a Certain Age, Questions Found Me)" by Karen Neuberg
Poetry
(At a Certain Age, Questions Found Me)
Is longing to blame for my life of catalyst
and cataclysm, and who am I
with this wavering shadow of myself
entrusted to locate engaging pathways
where I create anew; or am I too much
a deer caught in self-reflection, and am I
still who I was as I am now
stumbling along, but trying, trying?
Karen Neuberg is the author of the full-length poetry collection, PURSUIT (Kelsay Press), and three chapbooks including “the elephants are asking” (Glass Lyre). Her poetry and collages have appeared in numerous online and print journals and anthologies including 805, Gyroscope, Inflectionist Review, Mackinaw, Nixes Mate, and Unbroken. She holds an MFA from The New School and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
